- Your car's clear coat is thinner than a credit card, so we treat it carefully. We read the paint with our reflection light to see swirls, scratches, and haze, then polish (we use polishers, not buffers) to remove defects without burning through the clear coat. There's far less oxidation on car paint than on a boat's gelcoat, so most of the work is correcting swirl marks and bringing the gloss back.
- A typical car detail takes a few hours depending on size and condition. A maintained sedan in a Cornelius or Huntersville driveway moves fast. An SUV that's carried kids and pets for a few years takes longer, because we're extracting carpet and upholstery stains, cleaning every vent and crevice, and treating the leather or vinyl.
- We finish the interior with 303 UV protectant, a sunscreen-based conditioner that soaks into the plastic and vinyl, lets the material breathe, and shields it from the heat and UV that fade and crack dashboards and seats. Think of it as sunscreen for your interior.
