- Most marine tint jobs take 2 to 5 hours depending on the number of windows and whether the frames are flat or curved. Pontoons with simple flat glass run 2 to 3 hours while larger cabin cruisers with wrap-around windshields take closer to 4 to 5.
- Film needs 24 to 48 hours to cure after installation. Keep the boat out of rain and do not hose down the windows during that period. Lake Norman summer heat actually speeds up curing as long as the boat stays completely dry.
- Some haze or small water pockets may appear under the film for the first 2 to 3 days after install. This clears on its own as the adhesive bonds to the glass. Do not scrub or wipe the tinted surface during the cure period.
